按研究方向分分，應(yīng)該更合理一些。
現(xiàn)在計算機視覺，計算機圖形圖像，機器學習開始融合到一起了吧。
J. Malik，Zhu Songchu偏segmentation；
D. Lowe, S. Ullman, Poggio?偏于從生物視覺的啟發(fā)來研究視覺；
Zisserman, Schmid, Lowe研究局部特征；
Luc Van Goo，?Long Quanl三維重建；
Perona, Li Feife，?Freeman視覺i學習，物體分類；
還有運動分析，視覺跟蹤，紋理分析.............
MIT的Brain & Cognitive Science Dept和CSAIL里面聚集了一幫人，有的作low level有的作mid level to high level的。他們的工作是值得關(guān)注的。
當然說視覺還是要從偉大的David Marr開始。Tomaso Poggio, Richard Whitman是Marr的同事，傳承了其理念，一直往下走。Poggio最近幾年比較重點的工作放在他那個hierarchical model上。
T. Poggio的第一個PhD學生是Christof Koch?（kLab at Caltech）。哦，順便說一下Koch的另外一個導師是Valentino Breitenberg——同樣是影響了一個時代的大人物。Koch研究重點興趣在consciousness上，在Nature上的很多文章體現(xiàn)了他的研究思想。不過他們也做不少初級的視覺問題，諸如attention。Koch比較知名的弟子比如Laurent Itti和Li Feifei。
Richard Whitman?年紀比較大了，個人不是很關(guān)注他現(xiàn)在做的東西。不過他所在的Perceptual Science Group，是一個非常有影響力的地方，這個組其他大家比較熟悉的老師有Aude Oliva和EH Adelson。Adelson最著名的一個事兒是色彩恒常相關(guān)的視錯覺，93年發(fā)在Science上的那篇。
關(guān)于Oliva，前面的帖子錯了，她不是Poggio的學生，這家伙和Torralba是老鄉(xiāng)，同在法國念書，主要從心理學那條路子開始做，成名之役是hybrid image，和Antonio Torrralba一起搞的。這個Hybrid Image?其實80年代就有了，但是最開始從心理學方向上探討，沒有非常有影響力的文章。后來開始靠譜作自然圖像統(tǒng)計，得到Gist theory，當然這個illusion本身后來轉(zhuǎn)投SIGGRAPH，其影響是深遠的。嗯，這個和CV關(guān)系不大。Perceptual Science Group出了不少牛人，他們的alumni list可謂超豪華陣容：Yair Weiss, Josh Tenenbaum, Pawan Sinha, Bill Freeman……
