安裝好FreeBSD之后，進入系統再進行Panabit的安裝

1、安裝前的準備
(1)一臺CPU P3 800Mhz，內存256M以上，2－3塊網卡，最好是Intel網卡，128M以上電子盤或硬盤(Panabit V8.05起，由于增加了運行日志存儲時間，多橋分別統計流量，增加了日志空間，單橋需要50M的空間，建議使用256M以上的電子盤)，帶光驅的新舊服務器；已經安裝好FreeBSD 8.0，如果沒有安裝，請參考本站的FreeBSD 8.0安裝相關文檔。(Panabit 2008起系列版本，由于數據網卡獨立，定制優化了驅動，所以數據采集網卡不能兼任管理網卡；在Panabit用于橋接模式時，必須要3塊網卡，最好保證數據采集的一對網卡是相同規格的優質網卡，推薦使用Intel雙網口網卡，如果Panabit用于監聽模式，則使用兩塊網卡，一個做管理，一個采集數據。)

(2)網站論壇下載Panabit軟件包，下載地址見：http://www.panabit.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=13，Panabit安裝包文件名格式Panabitxxxx.tar.gz，其中“xxxx”表示Panabit版本號，如“0808”表示2008年08月份發布的版本，軟件包名是Panabit0808.tar.gz。建議先下載到Windows桌面，用另存為、迅雷等常見下載工具均可。

(3)推薦下載使用Panabit網站提供的帶sftp的ssh客戶端，遠程登陸和上傳文件比較方便快捷，支持鼠標的復制粘貼動作，這個軟件出自www.ssh.com，本站提供的是早期下載版本，含注冊碼。軟件名是：SSHSecureShellClient-3.2.9，本站下載地址：
http://www.panabit.com/download/ssh_3_2_9.rar 。
下載到Windows桌面后，解壓、雙擊SSHSecureShellClient-3.2.9安裝，安裝之后，在桌面生成兩個快捷方式SSH Secure Shell Client、SSH Secure File Transfer Client。

2、打開FreeBSD root用戶的SSH功能
編輯 /etc/ssh/sshd_config

修改 sshd_config 文件，將 #PermitRootLogin? no 改成 PermitRootLogin? yes

保存退出后，重啟sshd服務 ?/etc/rc.d/sshd restart

3、Panabit的安裝(有安裝腳本，比Windows下安裝軟件還容易！)

(1)上傳Panabit安裝包
可以選擇熟悉的方式，將Panabit安裝包上傳到FreeBSD 8.0系統；如果使用Panabit推薦的客戶端，點擊sftp圖標，輸入root用戶名和口令，圖形化界面上傳；

(2)安裝Panabit
步驟如下：
Panabit#tar zxvf Panabitxxxx.tar.gz (xxxx需要換成對應版本數字編號)
Panabit#cd Panabitxxxx
Panabit# ./ipeinstall

根據腳本提示，可以按照缺省的安裝目錄，1－2分鐘，即可安裝完畢。下面是腳本運行過程：

Welcome installing panabit!

Please input the directory to install panabit [/usr/panabit]:(缺省直接回車，可以更換目錄)
Please input the directory to store log [/usr/panalog]:(缺省直接回車，可以更換目錄)
Please input the directory to store configuration [/usr/panaetc]:(缺省直接回車，可以更換目錄)

The last time to verify your choice:
(1) The directory that you want to install is "/usr/panabit"
(2) The directory that the log to be stored is "/usr/panalog"
(3) The directory that the configuration to be stored is "/usr/panaetc"
Above are right(y/n[y])?(回車"y"表示確認)

Creating directory "/usr/panabit" ...ok
Creating directory "/usr/panalog" ...ok

Installing Panabit to "/usr/panabit" ...ok

Initializing configurations ...ok
Saving configuration to /etc/PG.conf ...

To make your system more sutiable for panabit running, it's recomended of tuning your system according your system memory size and cpu frequence.
Do you want to tune your system(y/n[y])(回車"y"表示確認)(此處詢問是否調節內核優化參數，系統自動檢測)

(上面5行，后2行為安裝腳本自動增加，前3行是系統原有的，這3行不是每個人的系統都有的)

em0 em1 em2(這是系統識別的3塊網卡列表，供下面選擇指定使用)

Please input default gateway: 192.168.0.1(這3行的網路參數根據實際情況給定)

Please select data interfaces: em1 em2(指定兩個網卡時，用空格隔開，一般選擇性能好的網卡作為數據網卡)

(再次顯示管理口參數、數據網路接口)

You can issue "/usr/panabit/bin/ipectrl start" to start panabit!
And you can also add the above command to /etc/rc.local file to let the system automaticly start panabit at system startup!
(啟動Panabit進程命令：/usr/panabit/bin/ipectrl start，如果安裝目錄非缺省目錄，則需要根據實際情況改變路徑；為了能開機自動啟動，可以將啟動進程命令行加入： /etc/rc.local文件)
If you want to stop the currently running panabit, you can issue
"/usr/panabit/bin/ipectrl stop" to stop it!
(停止Panabit進程命令：/usr/panabit/bin/ipectrl stop)

4、設置開機自啟動Panabit進程：
開機自動啟動Panabit進程：/usr/panabit/bin/ipectrl ?start 一定要寫在/etc/rc.local文件里，如果沒有/etc/rc.local這個文件，則自己新建一個。內容如下：
#!/bin/sh
/usr/panabit/bin/ipectrl start

5、檢查Panabit進程是否正常啟動：
啟動Panabit進程之后，可以使用ps ax查看進程是否啟動，正常應該有ipe_monitor、ipe_datamon、ipe_xping、ipe_httpd進程。

6、使用瀏覽器，進入Web界面配置管理：
https://192.168.0.8，輸入用戶名：admin，缺省口令：panabit，則登陸管理界面。進入管理界面后，選擇網絡配置－>數據接口，配置網橋，網橋配置完成后，測試網橋的連通性，如果網橋正常，則安裝成功了。

至此，一臺Panabit應用層流量管理系統安裝完畢，即可上線運行，雖然還沒有配置策略，但是已經可以分析流量了，一般是先空策略上線運行，待有流量分析數據之后，再進行策略設置和調整。

用系統命令臨時更改IP地址，參考如下命令：
Panabit#ifconfig em0 192.168.0.100 netmask 255.255.255.0
修改管理口IP地址，請使用Panabit的Web管理界面修改，配置自動保存。

附加：關于更新和重新安裝Panabit新版本
升級系統版本、升級特征庫可以直接通過Web管理界面升級，如果選擇安裝新版本，參考如下方法：
(注：Panabit 7.09版本起，缺省的是三個目錄，分別是/usr/panabit、/usr/panaetc、/usr/panalog，其中panaetc是保存配置文件，可以保留。)

卸載舊版本：

Panabit# /usr/panabit/bin/ipectrl stop (停止Panabit進程)
Panabit# cd /usr
Panabit# rm -rf panabit
Panabit# rm -rf panalog
Panabit# rm -rf Panabit070* (刪除舊版本安裝包解壓后生成的目錄)
Panabit# rm -rf Panabit070*.tar.gz (刪除舊版本安裝包)

安裝新版本:

Panabit#cd /usr/local
Panabit#tar zxvf Panabitxxxx.tar.gz (xxxx需要換成對應版本數字編號)
Panabit#cd Panabitxxxx
Panabit#./ ipeinstall

方法同新安裝，需要注意的是：系統會提示已有一個目錄叫panabit，問是否覆蓋它，缺省的選擇是n，注意要輸入y，選擇覆蓋，其余選項與初次安裝Panabit的步驟一樣；安裝完成后需執行：
Panabit#/usr/panabit/bin/ipectrl start
啟動Panabit進程。

安裝完新版本后，如配置需要有所變化，則登陸Web管理界面重新配置。
