1、簡介

Percona 為 MySQL 數據庫服務器進行了改進，在功能和性能上較 MySQL 有著很顯著的提升。該版本提升了在高負載情況下的 InnoDB 的性能、為 DBA 提供一些非常有用的性能診斷工具；另外有更多的參數和命令來控制服務器行為。

2、特點

Percona Server 只包含 MySQL 的服務器版，并沒有提供相應對 MySQL 的 Connector 和 GUI 工具進行改進。

Percona Server 使用了一些 google-mysql-tools, Proven Scaling, Open Query 對 MySQL 進行改造。

3、版本發布

2012年08月15日，Percona Server 5.6 Alpha 發布。

2012年08月23日，Percona Server 5.5.27-28.0 發布。

2013年04月11日，Percona Server for MySQL 5.5.30-30.2 發布

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !

To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:

/usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password'

/usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root -h mysql2 password 'new-password'

Alternatively you can run:

/usr/bin/mysql_secure_installation

which will also give you the option of removing the test

databases and anonymous user created by default.??This is

strongly recommended for production servers.
